World of Warraft Mobile Guild Chat At A Price

World of Warcraft

Blizzard has announced that an offline mobile guild chat will be added to World of Warcraft for those who just cannot stay away from their fellow players.

Now you will not have to talk to your guild mates via instant messenger. Blizzard will be updating the WoW Mobile Armory app in order to allow players to chat on their iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Android devices. In the future, Blizzard will allow for premium subscribers to use Guild Chat through any browser on the Armory website. This would allow for players across all mobile platforms, assuming they have internet access, to be able to talk to their guild mates all day long.

You will have to pay a $2.99 monthly subscription fee for access to the premium Remote Auction House in order to access the guild chat. This may seem a bit steep to some users, but the hardcore players of World of Warcraft will snatch up this deal in a heartbeat.

Who knows if this is a wise move on Blizzards part, though. Knowing the fanbase that this game has, it will most certainly rack in a couple of dollars, but this will merely serve as yet another medium to immerse the WoW players even more. Stories will start popping up of players using Guild Chat instead of talking to their girlfriend.
