Warren Spector Speaks of Epic Mickey Experience

Epic Mickey
Epic Mickey is set to be released next fall, and Warren Spector describes the experience that will be enjoyed while playing on the Nintendo Wii.
In the Disney Epic Mickey game, a tale like no other will be spun for you. Bringing you into an animated world where both young and older gamers will be able to enjoy the game equally. You will be taking the role of Mickey Mouse, and using your Wii remote, you will be able to make use of a magical paint brush and paint thinner to reshape the world around you. A game said to be filled with moral decision, role-playing elements, and an adventure-platforming premise.
Warren Spector made it clear that this game will not support Wii Motion Plus, simply because it was made available to the developers a bit too late, so it was not able to be implemented into the game. Though he does say that it would have been able to fit into the gaming experience quite well. In this story, Yen Sid, the great Disney sorcerer, creates a Cartoon Wasteland for the forgotten and retired Disney creations. The first character being added was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. But as time goes on, Oswald becomes jealous of Mickey’s popularity. In an accidental event, Mickey accidentally spills paint thinner into the Cartoon wasteland, and is drawn into the world.
You can expect to see characters of different storylines to be interacting within this game, which is a pretty fun addition. A story much more sophisticated than your run of the mill linear storyline. Also showing you a side of Mickey you probably are not to familiar with. You may wonder where the morality comes into play with this game. Well, you will have to decide how you will shape the world around you with the paint and thinner. These decisions may greatly affect the environment, how the characters interact with you, and your appearance and gained abilities. Offering you a much more engaging experience than one might have initially expected.
One of the core ideals of this game is the choice given to the player, and how it effects the gameplay. It will define both your character and how you will end the game. This offers you a chance to have many different endings, in terms of how your character will end up. This game sounds like it is shaping up to be nothing short of amazing, though some are resentful that it is being done of the graphically weak Nintendo Wii. Imagine what Epic Mickey would be capable of on something along the magnitude of the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
