Video Games of 2010

Mass Effect 2
So the year 2010 is rapidly approaching and every one wonders, as they do every year, how much better next year will be than 2009 for video games. In actuality, next year is looking to be a stronger year for the video game industry than this year currently.
Many of the AAA games have been pushed back until the year 2010 anyway, so many of the heavily anticipated games will be making their appearance that year. Games such as God of War, Heavenly Rain, Final Fantasy XIII (For Americans anyway) and more will be making their way to the shelves in the upcoming months. With such a strong line up planned, next year is already seeming to be a bright year for video games. PlayStation Network will be coming out with a subscription based service that will provide you with premium content, which is something to look forward to as well. Maybe you can even make it your New Years resolution to get free Xbox Live codes as seen shown in the post. There will be more reason than ever to own all three systems. Heck, even Epic Mickey may be coming out some timeĀ next year, which is looking to be one of the strongest games that Wii will have to offer, in terms of innovation and anticipation, although the graphics are apparently weak.

Grand Theft Auto IV
Also, you gamers out there should very well remember that both Microsoft and Sony are looking to make their entrance into the motion controlling word. Project Natal for the Xbox 360 and codename Gem for the PlayStation 3 are both looking to be extremely promising. Project Natal can not be applied to many action packed situations, but it does aim to please many of the casual gamers out there looking to play mini-games or family related games. However, PlayStation 3’s codename Gem seems to be much more promising. Not only can it be applied to family situations, but it can also be placed in action packed situations as well. It is a pretty versatile and potent technology that is going to take the video game industry by storm I am sure.
If anything, keep your eye out for what the PlayStation 3 will have to offer, because what was shown in the demos at GDC was nothing less than amazing. Showing an arrow simulation that can arguably beat anything that the Wii could perform in every way possible. No wires, stronger platform, better design. It seems like Nintendo can take a couple of pointers from Sony, because next year will most likely provide a showcase for this new motion control technology.
That is basically all that is available for you to look forward to in the next year of gaming. Maybe we will be treated to the talk of next generation console possibilities. But most likely, we will not, because there are roughly 5 – 6 years left in terms of the life span of the current generation of consoles. However,
