Video Game Activity At A Low Point

World of Warcraft
It seems, rather understandably, that during the more demanding times of the school year are in session, there is a substantially less amount of people who are actually playing games.
I am pretty sure that this only applies to those video gamers who actually do work in school or have to study, or even just have lives. I know that I have had next to no time to play video games, if I use my time wisely and actually do my homework and get the necessary studying done. On Xbox Live, there will be a large amount of players regardless of the time period, simply for the fact that there is such a large volume of players. I would imagine the same for the PlayStation Network, since these are nearly identical services, in terms of the fan base.
But when it comes to mmorpgs, I think that they may suffer more than the console fan base. I know with me, I have little time to be able to grind on the mmorpg that I play, which means that I progress very little in the game. I would rather not play at all and get what I need done, then to get what I need done and have little to no progression within the game. There is an online rpg game that I am playing now, titled Ruins of War, that actually is new and I think that if it were released in the summer, it would have two times the amount of players that it has now, simply because people have way more time to invest into it.
For those of you new to video gaming, or those of you who just joined an mmorpg and it does not seem as populated as it should, just keep in mind that it is a tough time during school, and if you stick with it until th Summer, you will most likely see a large boost in population.
