Nintendo Prices 3DS at $249.99 for March 27 Release

The Nintendo 3DS, the company’s latest and strongest portable gaming system, will be released in the U.S. on March 27 for $249.99.

Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games, has said that the Nintendo 3DS will not be able to handle the Unreal Engine. He, admittedly, has not gotten a look under the hood of the 3DS though, so this may change.

The Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo’s latest upcoming portable console, will feature firmware updates. Satoru Iwata, the company president, says that its only goal is not to halt piracy.

Nintendo 3DS is slated for release on February 26th of next year, in Japan. In March of next year, this upcoming handheld will go on sale in the west. A plethora details have been let loose regarding the portables final specs.

Square Enix will be making its debut on the Nintendo 3DS by making a new Kingdom Hearts game. The main characters will be both Sora and Riku, players will be able to alternate between the two at different parts of the story.

It’s no secret that Nintendo has been battling the piracy of their DS games for months now, but Satoru Iwata now aims to implement technological attempts to halt, or at least stall, piracy on the Nintendo 3DS.
