Square Enix and Feelplus’ Mindjack, the wacky, stylish, telepathic shooter, will now be delayed from it’s original release date in October to 2011.

Square Enix told Siliconera that MindJack, the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 shooter, has been delayed until next year.

MindJack is developed by Feelplus and published by Square Enix. This game takes place twenty years into the future, in a world where peoples minds can be hacked. Straight from Square Enix’s mouth, it is possible for you to hack the minds of enemies and civilians, allowing players to gain control of almost any character they lay eyes on. This certainly is not your every day game and will most likely offer a very chaotic multiplayer experience. Not much is known about specific gameplay details or what players will be capable of beyond mind hacking, but it is said that Feelplus will blend a cooperative and competitive multiplayer experience all into one game, placing this game on the radar for many shooting fans.

The developer, Feelplus, is known for its involvement in Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey and Ninety-Nine Nights II. MindJack will be demoed at next week’s Tokyo Game Show and Square Enix will hopefully be showing off much more of what this unusual and unique game has to offer.
