Shaun White Skateboarding, the pro-snowboarder and Ubisoft’s video game child, has run into an obstacle on the PlayStation 3. It has apparently been delayed, with good reason.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America stated that there was a manufacturing issue with a misprinted disc at SCEA and the wrong version of the Shaun White Skateboarding PlayStation 3 game was shipped to retailers. They are working with Ubisoft to correct the issue and proper retail copies will be shipped off by Oct. 28th, a Thursday.

This started off as a mere rumor, where a retail memo claimed that Ubisoft would be launching a recall for citing issues. The memo supposedly originated from Target and stated that the Wii and Xbox 360 versions are unaffected. The PS3 version of the game, on GamefFly and Gamestop, had its release date removed and Best Buy’s online store is no longer selling the PlayStation 3 SKU.

However, if you are a fan of Shaun White Skateboarding and you must have the game on release date, be sure to pick up the Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii version. They are still in working order.
