The rumored Modern Warfare 2 third person mode has been confirmed to be available through a playlist mode. A late edition on Infinity Wards part, but most likely an edition to be loved by the gamers.
Before hand, it should be noted that this mode is limited to the multiplayer mode. The 3rd person mode is a new edition to the multiplayer says Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling. Something truly unique and exclusive to the Infinity Ward developer team, as well as the Call of Duty series as a whole.
You will be able to play the standard game types, as well as the new 3rd person mode. It should be known that while in that mode, you will not be able to switch out. So every one who is currently playing that match will be in the same mode as you. This is so that people do not have an unfair advantage. Also, only a couple of game types that are labeled that way.
The 3rd person mode makes quite a lot of sense if you think about it. For a game of its caliber, it should definitely have included it, maybe even long ago. But the modes are completely different, those playing in the third person perspective will not be able to interact with those playing in the first person mode. They are completely different modes. Which probably means that there might be two completely different learning curves, bringing in two different audiences of pro players. Great news for those of you who have been wanting to be able to play Modern Warfare 2 in the 3rd person mode.
