The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package caused a major upset for its hefty $15 price for five maps (two of which are returns from Call of Duty 4) and the fact that the launch was broken. However, Activision seeks to make everything better for you by giving you Free night vision goggles for your avatar. Yay.

Activision, Infinity Ward and Microsoft will be offering you free avatar night vision goggles, as long as you download them from the Avatar Marketplace between now and 12AM Sunday night, and you will not have to pay any Microsoft Points for them whatsoever. Such a great way to celebrate the launch of the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package on Xbox Live. If you already own the goggles, then Microsoft will automatically credit back the purchase to your account by May 1.

Does this really impress or satisfy any of you gamers out there? Many people are feeling as if Activision is driving the Modern Warfare series down into the grave. Not only was the launch screwed up, but the price tag is too high and the quality of the maps is not even that great. Here is an idea, why give out free night vision goggles instead of just deducting the price of the goggles from the cost of the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package? Makes much more sense, to be honest.

However, many gamers will probably not hear of this offer on time to be able to take advantage of it, which will still leave many gamers feeling betrayed. However, for those of you who are interested, be sure to get your free night vision goggles with your Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package.
