Left 4 Dead 2 Multiplayer Changes

Left 4 Dead 2
Valve will be making some heavily anticipated changes to the way Left 4 Dead 2 plays and scores in an effort to lessen the anger of many fans. These changes are coming as a result of a poll given to the fan-base that questioned their reasons for rage-quitting a game.
The charger often lacked proper score feedback, even when you were doing what you were supposed to. It often does not receive the points that it deserves for its work, which is a big turn off to many L4D2 players. So Valve aims to change that. The charger now receives 300 points for any Survivor that is insta-killed. It will receive 100 points for any Survivor that is insta-incapacitated by a charge and any infected that causes a survivor to stumble into a “ledge hang” situation will receive 50 points.
Friendly fire is also another big issue while playing Left 4 Dead 2. When you have a massive horde of monsters coming at you, you may not be able to help shooting yoru teammates at some point. So in both Versus and Co-Op modes, they decided that any bullet that first passes through an infected character before striking a Survivor will be ignored as friendly fire.
The tank will also be seeing a fix. As the tank, it is your job to wreak havoc and rack of many kills during the game. However, there are instances where you spawn on fire and thus have 1/4th of your health already depleted, at which point your teammates may choose to flame you (bad pun). So now, Tanks go into a stasis when they spawn, and leave the stasis when the human player takes over. Tanks are unable to attack while in stasis. Tanks in stasis will be invisible but will show a glow to the infected team, and they cannot be set on fire while in stasis.
These are all welcome changes to Left 4 Dead 2. These address many of the issues that the fans have been complaining about, however, Valve acknowledges that there are still other issues to tackle. These are not the end of all the issues, more fixes will come in the future.Read the Invisible Tank post at the official Left 4 Dead blog for the post.
