Kingdom Hearts 3DS Detailed

Sora, Donald and Goofy

Sora, Donald and Goofy

Square Enix will be making its debut on the Nintendo 3DS by making a new Kingdom Hearts game. The main characters will be both Sora and Riku, players will be able to alternate between the two at different parts of the story.

This is fairly good news, considering that it aes thought to be just a recreation of the original game. Tetsuya Nomura acknowledges that he cannot go into much depth about the games details, but he states that the developers are considering “falling down” as a key point for the game.

He goes on to say that he wants to make a Kingdom Hearts that you can touch, a falling Sora and a flying Riku. Sora means sky in Japanese and Riku means land, so his statement served as a pun of sorts. The games theme will be trust, since there are occasions in the game that players cannot do alone and will require the players to have trust within their teammates.

You can pretty much expect a Kingdom Hearts that will use the Nintendo 3DS to the best of its abilities. It will make great use of 3D effects, offering explosive and colorful pop-out effects. It will also aim to make use of epic scenarios that use the stylus and touch screen to the best of its abilities. I’m imagining a game where you are always knee deep in intense action.

Nomura states that Kingdom Hearts will be Square Enix’s first title to make it to Nintendo 3DS.
