inFAMOUS 2 Exclusive Chase Gameplay

Sucker Punch has just revealed a new exclusive inFamous 2 gameplay video depicting a chase scene that will occur at some point in the game.
This video shows a lot of what is to be expected in inFamous 2, including some changes that have fans of the original game a bit disappointed. Cole’s, the main characters, new look is said to be too reminiscent of that of an action hero’s. His new voice actor is also said to be poorly fit for the character, in comparison to the first game that is. For people who are new to the game, the new voice actor and new appearance may not actually be a problem. They have no standard, or point of comparison, that would make these changes seem unwanted.
Sucker Punch has made a clear leap in graphical and animation quality, which is admirable. At the start of the video, you see an interesting mix of action moves with well timed slow motion for emphasis. It appears as if his lightening weapon will offer a new dimension of gameplay; greater emphasis may be put on the hand-to-hand combat. The animation is clearly smoother though, and much more fluid. One attack smoothly flows into the other, and you are able to link multiple attacks into each other for a truly cinematic fight scene. It is not known if the slow motion that is displayed in the video will be used during actual gameplay, though.
Cole is seen using strategic use of the destructible environments during his chase scene. At one point, a soldier on top of a platform shoots a rocket at him so he shoots an impulse that destroys the pillars and makes the platform collapse in a action-movie-esque fashion. In the ending scene, as the helicopter is going in to try and kill him, he manages to conjure up an electrical storm of sorts, and sends a tornado hurdling in the direction of the helicopter, taking it out in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
