PlayStation Plus members have been enjoying the premium subscription-based version of Hulu, the TV and movie streaming service, for quite some time now on the PS3. Sony plans to drop the barrier.

Sony Computer Entertainment America and Hulu plans on removing the requirement of being a PlayStation Plus member starting next week, making Hulu Plus content no longer exclusive to certain players. All PlayStation Network members will have access to Hulu Plus soon, which means that this service will be receiving more money from even more gamers in this fan base. This video service offers full streams of complete seasons of popular TV programs from major broadcast programming studios, which only adds to the over 27,000 movies and TV episodes already available in the PlayStation Store.

Hulu Plus subscriptions cost $9.99 USD per month. A bit of a steep price for some, but it is nothing to be unexpected for those whom already follow the service.

Sony announced that Hulu Plus is also coming to Bravia HDTV’s and Bravia Internet Video Link via the Bravia Internet Video platform, as well as other Sony devices. Hulu Plus is not only expanding to other players on the PlayStation 3, but other Sony products in other electronic mediums.

Hulu Plus is also heading over to the Xbox 360.
