Epic Games: Gears of War 3 Public Multiplayer Beta Next Year

Epic Games announced that they will be releasing a public beta for Gears of War 3 early next year to give a fans a taste of this delayed game.
Rod Fergusson of Epic Games told the press that the team has always wanted to do a public beta with the intention of using the feedback to improve the title. Originally, the title was slated for release in April, so the time fame probably would not have allowed for one. Now that the title has been delayed for the holiday season, the developer thinks it is time for a beta.
Gears of War 3 multiplayer gameplay videos have been released which serves as an even greater teaser for the upcoming beta. The new shot gun was shown in action, having the explosive power that rivaled that of the very first one in the series. When you have an enemy hostage, you can tag them on the head with a grenade and kick them in any direction you want; leaving their teammates vulnerable to damage. These slightly new features will add tremendously to the strategy that gamers will use while facing each other over Xbox Live.
