Dimps To Develop Sonic 4

Sonic The Hedgehog 4
Sega has announced the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4 for the past couple of days now. It will be released on the PlayStation Network, WiiWare and the Xbox Live Arcade as a downloadable video game. But one extra platform it appears to be releasing on is the iPhone.
Sonic 4 gameplay and screenshots have been leaked and is circulating around the internet. Some confirmed levels to be included in the game are: Splash Hill Zone, Lost Labyrinth Zone, Casino Street Zone, Mad Gear Zone and a “Special Stage”.
Sega and the Sonic Team studio usually take charge when it comes to developing the Sonic games, but apparently that is not the case this time. Dimps, stationed in Osaka, will be taking charge this time around. They are known for their development of Street Fighter IV with Capcom, as well as the developers behind Sonic Rush and Sonic Advanced. Sonic Advance was an arguably good game that was fairly close too its roots unlike some of the gun-tooting machinations we have encountered over the past years.
This is a good move on the part of Sega of Japan. The Sonic Team studio has been pushing out horrid games for the past couple of years now, shedding whatever good name the franchise used to have in its hay day. Dimps does make relatively good Sonic games, so with some hope,t hey may be able to pull off a good one on the consoles.
