Mega Man Online

Mega Man Online, an online massively multiplayer online game, is planned for development by both Capcom and Neowiz.

Capcom noted in its report to stockholders that they are beginning development on a new title called Mega Man Online. Capcom will be working with Neowiz, a Korean game developer, jointly for this title. This is a part of Capcom’s plan to enlarge their business by concentrating on the online gaming niche. However, besides this, there is no further information regarding this upcoming MMO.

Many video game fans are already facepalming at the sight that Capcom is working with a Korean developer for this MMO. For those of you not familiar with the online game market, the Koreans are widely known for creating video games that require you to grind for massive periods of time before you are able to reach high levels. This grind, the amount of time and effort it takes to gain one level, vastly depreciates the enjoyment that one games from an MMO. The fact that Capcom is working with a Korean developer on this MMO is leading many people to assume that this game will in fact become one of those very “grinders” that they choose to avoid. Also, the issue of subscription fee’s will arise in the future, but that is another topic.

Well, keep an eye out for Mega Man Online by Capcom, more information to be released at a later date.
