Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Impressions

Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was officially released as of yesterday, and many people have picked it up and shown their impressions. As a former Call of Duty 4 player, I have to say I am impressed with have I encountered and experienced during the multiplayer sessions. It definitely left a good impression on me for one, and it makes the original game look almost unappealing now.
For those of you migrating from the Modern Warfare 2 predecessor, then you may find it a bit different. The pace of the game play has definitely changed a bit. Those of you who found yourselves able to run and gun freely before may now run into a bit of trouble with all of the tweaks and add-ons in this game. Not only that, but you have to acclimate yourself to the new maps, which may take a bit of getting used to. I found myself wandering around aimlessly throughout the highly detailed maps offered during multiplayer.
Alright, so for the impressions of the domination play list. I have to say, it is much more fun this time around to play it. You need to have much more of a tactical approach while playing now, as opposed to before. If you try to run throughout the map blindly, you will find that there will be someone waiting for you, or you will simply run into a team of enemies who will simply quail you with ease. Bullets seem to do more damage, that or you seem to have less health than you did in CoD4, maybe for the better or worse. But now, you will run into people using a variety of classes, instead of the same class over and over. You may find an appreciation for those who use the riot shield, and distract the enemies while you flank them. Or maybe they use their shield while taking over a base, whatever the case, they certainly are not useless.
The added perks into the game and the amount of customization offered is nothing short of breathtaking in Modern Warfare 2. Every perk has a pro version of it, which has added benefits and you can acquire it by completing the challenge needed. You will find an absence of bandolier, and I am certainly glad they did that. Now, you have the perk scavenger and extra mags as an attachment. Scavenger is a pretty amazing perk, you are able to take the ammo from dead enemies you step over, which is certainly useful when you are trying to keep your kill streak going. You will find that there is a variety of things for you to use to your advantage now. For those of you who loved UAV jamming in the previous game, you will find yourself in amazement when you find out that literally every gun can be silenced. Yes, that means silenced shot guns, pistols, smgs, lmgs, sniper rifles and whatever you can get your hands on besides rockets. This opens a whole new field of play.
My impression of Modern Warfare 2 is utter amazement, and I might only have one problem with it. The first 5 levels were pretty annoying to level through. I am sure that I will not want to prestige and go through that again, and others might have the same issue. But besides that, there is nothing wrong. I managed to get to witness the new host migration feature in effect, and it works like a charm. For those of you who were skeptical of Modern Warfare 2, get it, because it will most likely be game of the year.
