Best 5 Video Games On The Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 has been out for quite a long time now, and has had ample time to have gathered up a strong listing of video games so far. Out of all of these video games released so far, there are about 5 that are considered the best of the best.
The first choice would have to be Gears of War 2. This is the sequel to the epic third person shooter first introduced by Epic Games. This game has been one of the most anticipated games to be released on the Xbox 360 so far, and is possibly the best third person shooter available on the market. Loved for both its sturdy gameplay mechanics and its gritty and violent style, it has been widely purchased and critically acclaimed by many of the fans. If you are an action fan, and you have not yet played the game, you are not doing yourself justice. This game has a great multiplayer component which is what it is hailed for. You are able to hone the shot gun and get into your enemies face before you blow their brains out. With the amount of matches available, as well as an interesting assortment of characters made available to you, yuou should not think twice before getting this game.
The second choice would be the recently released Modern Warfare 2, by Infinity Ward. This game is easily one of the most successful first person shooters available on the Xbox 360, and actually broke the world record for the most game sold in one day. This game is not successful without reason, this game has an amazing single player and multiplayer component that makes it so popular. Being the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise, it truly raises the bar of what is to be expected of the FPS games to come and what has already been released. MW2 offers a stable online experience, as well as an original perk system that allows you to be distinct in comparison to your opponents. You will find that you are able to create a class that caters to your particular play style, whether it is going head into the action, or sitting back and sniping your friends.This is a great game to play with your friends, as it can be very competitive and quite enjoyable. Definitely recommended for you guys to play.
The next game would be the cliche recommendation of Halo 3. This game is personally not something I like to play and it is personally not something I would recommend to anyone with a “mature” taste in video games. This game is pretty fun for some people, however. It is more of a science fiction fantasy type of game, with skewered physics and high paced action. You will see people pull off feats such as shooting you with a no-scoped sniper rifle from across the map, heck, it is something that is common if you would play in the MLG section. The story mode is a bit interesting, and can get pretty intense for those of you who like to play on the hardest mode possible. However, I personally, again, not interested in this game but I do not deny the popularity of the game.
Another game would be Tekken 6, one of the best fighting games on the market. Certainly one of the most well known

video games, if not the most popular fighting games. This game is the latest addition into the Tekken series, with more of the same mechanics to be expected. With boosted graphics and tweaked gameplay, fans of the series will be right at home with this game. Those of you who are looking for a new fighting game to get, you most likely will be just at home as well, seeing as how this is one of the best selling games of this generation in the fighting genre. Though it takes a bit of getting used to, it certainly is worth getting if you are craving a new video game to get.
One of my favorite games, and the next game on this list that I will mention, is Grand Theft Auto IV by Rockstar Games. This game, although hassled for being a bit realistic, is the best game on any of the consoles arguably. One of the few games available that have gotten consecutive perfect scores, right next to Uncharted 2 which is on another console. This game has amazing graphics, animation, physics and I can not find a thing wrong with it. Well, I take that back, the only problem I have with it is that the online modes are not as heavily populated as that of some of the top first person shooting games. But the single player mode is superb and it has a wonderful storyline that is actually worth playing through. It also has incredible replay value, and is one of the few games that I will pick back up and replay just for the sake of going around the city wreaking havoc.
Those are my 5 best video game picks for the Xbox 360. These games are widely acknowledged as being great and amazing, generally better than what many of the other games have to offer. Out of that list, I would definitely suggest that you pick up Grand Theft Auto IV and Modern Warfare 2. Those are probably my two most played games on my Xbox 360, and MW2 is fairly new so it boasts a large Xbox Live community currently.
