Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Multiplayer Detailed

Assassin's Creed II
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood may seem like a refreshing breath of fresh air to some fans of the series, but this multiplayer premise has actually been done before.
As noticed by Kotaku, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood’s multiplayer bears great resemblance to Assassin’s Creed II multiplayer on the iPhone.
The graphics and presentation have definitely been altered to fit the profile of the console they are playing on. The iPhone clearly is not strong enough to be able to reproduce or even simulate (to a practical extent) the gameplay that can be found on a console version of Assassin’s Creed. To make up for this, Ubisoft did a top-down version of the game that still shares many of the defining characteristics of the series.
In both of these games, you will play as one of the Assassin’s Creed archetypes. When the game starts, you are given the task of finding your target, which is another archetype, and you have to kill him. However, the archetype blends in with the non-playable characters that are often find walking about the town. So you need to be able to discern between the two by observing their characteristics and behavior while roaming the area. However, you are also being hunted, so you need to be careful to blend in and not make any suspicious movements.
There will be key differences between the iPhone and the console versions, being that the console version will be more defined and have more variety. The presentation will also be done to take advantage of the consoles capabilities.
You have the ability to run about the map and defend yourself. Tactic comes in to play when you are in the presence of your enemy and you have to make sure that you make no suspicious movements and that you blend in with the crowd. You can acquire special abilities, such as throwing a smoke bomb, using a gun to increase your kill range or disguising yourself as another character.
Ubisoft has set off to make Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood a truly entertaining and different multiplayer experience. Hopefully, this sets the bar for multiplayer games to come in the future.
